What should be done if someone has a heart attack? First aid for a heart attack is:
- Make an emergency call to number 119 or the nearest hospital to request help from medical personnel and an ambulance;
- basic life support assistance by medical personnel (cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation);
- Perform defibrillation using Automatic External Defibrilation (AED);
- Immediately take the sufferer to the Emergency Room (IGD) at the nearest hospital,
- perform advanced life support and hospital treatment.
Some things that need to be considered if the heart attack sufferer is conscious are:
- Lay the patient in a half-sitting position and immediately take him to the nearest Emergency Room (IGD);
- prevent patients from various activities such as: talking a lot, coughing and straining;
- immediately take the sufferer to the emergency room at the nearest hospital.
