Dr. Hossam Mowafi, Professor of Critical Cases at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, revealed a common symptom that requires a quick visit to the doctor, as it indicates coronary artery disease.

Muwafi said during his “My Lord, Increase Me in Knowledge” program broadcast on the Sada Al-Balad channel that chest pain is a symptom indicating a risk of coronary heart disease.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), patients with coronary heart disease experience symptoms other than chest pain, including:
– dizziness.
Nausea.
Cold sweats.
General weakness.
– shortness of breath.
Shoulder or arm pain.

The intensive care professor explained that there are groups more susceptible to coronary heart disease, namely:
– Diabetics.
High pressure patients.
Cholesterol disease.
– smokers.
Postmenopausal women.

He stressed that coronary artery disease can be hereditary in some cases, especially if a first-degree family member, such as the father or mother, had previously been diagnosed.
