THE HAGUE – The new corona minister Ernst Kuipers is not yet convinced that the pressure on healthcare will decrease quickly if it turns out that the omicron variant of the corona virus makes people less seriously ill than the previous virus variants. Kuipers does not want to anticipate possible relaxation of the current lockdown, he said on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting about the corona situation, but the course of the pandemic in countries around us does not give him hope yet.
