Corona: Will we be shopping by appointment soon? | NDR.de – News – Schleswig-Holstein

Economics Minister Buchholz wants all shops to be allowed to reopen soon. As a minimal solution, he suggests Click & Meet appointment shopping at short notice. That goes beyond Click & Collect.

Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Bernd Buchholz (FDP), considers it justifiable that all retail shops are allowed to reopen soon. On Friday he will meet with his department colleagues from the federal and state governments. Before that, the FDP politician said it was becoming more and more difficult to convey that everything else apart from hairdressers and garden centers must remain closed. He demanded that Click & Meet appointment shopping be introduced nationwide as a minimal solution.

Make an appointment, then go to the store

The principle that Buchholz demands is simple: members of a household make an appointment with an actually closed shop and are allowed to enter the shop for advice and shopping. This goes beyond Click & Collect, which is already practiced in the north, where you can pick up specific goods previously ordered by phone or online. “In view of the mask requirement, hygiene concepts including contact recording and space restrictions, the risk of infection is manageable,” said the Minister of Economic Affairs.

Should the lockdown be extended beyond March 7th, according to Buchholz, further financial compensation will be necessary – “more on the basis of a loss compensation for the past few months than the previous fixed cost compensation”.
