Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin revealed that the bed capacity in Indonesia allocated for COVID-19 is only enough for 600 thousand active cases of Corona. While the number of active cases when Corona reached its peak was almost close to a total of 600 thousand.
“Our capacity is that there are 600 thousand active cases, and yesterday we almost touched that number, so many patients are difficult to treat,” said Minister of Health Budi in a live press release on YouTube, Ministry of Finance RI, Monday (16/8/2021).
“But now, thank God, now it has dropped below 400 thousand,” he continued.
“Because this pandemic will not go away quickly, it might turn into an epidemic and we have to live with them, it could be 5 years, it could be 10 years, it could be longer than that,” explained Budi.
