At the news that it was supposed to return to prison for violating house arrest rules, Fabrizio Corona he sprinkled his face with blood for the use of social networks (which then removed the images). Loaded into an ambulance, he smashed the glass with treads. It seems that they will give him a psychiatric examination, but we would also need it, who have been interested in him for twenty years. The world is full of people unable to change their character and therefore their own destiny: it is very difficult to do so, as anyone who has tried to break a habit or smooth out their ego in an attempt to no longer suffer for the success of others knows. From Aeschylus to Shakespeare, tragic heroes are precisely those who cannot change. But they have a talent, or at least a greatness which, if it does not ennoble or justify their transgressions, makes them full of meaning. Fabrizio Corona has nothing and nothing of it. Why then his contemporaries follow his life with spasmodic curiosity and they dedicate to him covers and television hosts, except to be scandalized by the use he makes of them?

Perhaps Corona embodies one of the many I’s that crowd into our chest: that permanent adolescent drive of the human soul that would like to ignore every rule, starting with self-control, delighting to pass for a victim. Education and awareness conspire to squeeze it, but when they fail, that drive explodes into caricature forms. And the tragedy becomes farce.
