Corona wards of army and army hospitals: less than 300 patients in intensive care | Inland

The number of corona patients in intensive care units fell for the eighteenth day in a row. Intensivists and nurses now have 297 patients under their care, seven fewer than on Wednesday. The number of patients in the nursing wards fell by 44 to 486. In total, therefore, there are 783 people in hospital because of Covid-19, the disease caused by the corona virus. 51 beds have become available in the past 24 hours.

Exactly one month ago, on May 10, almost 2500 corona patients were in hospitals. More than 1,700 beds have become available.

The depopulation also means that doctors and nurses can be put to work in other departments to help with regular care. There are now 554 people in intensive care with other conditions, 23 more than on Wednesday and 38 more than on Tuesday.

The fact that the number of corona patients is falling so quickly is mainly because fewer and fewer people need to be hospitalized because of corona. In the past 24 hours, 51 new corona patients ended up in a nursing ward or intensive care unit. That’s the lowest number since the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS) began sharing that data in October. In the past seven days, hospitals have admitted 434 corona patients.
