The corona incidence in NRW has fallen slightly again after yesterday’s increase. Many regions are still above the national average. The overview.
The corona incidence in North Rhine-Westphalia fell again on Tuesday after almost stable values at the beginning of the week. According to figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Tuesday, there were 970.2 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the state within seven days. It was 989.2 the day before and 988.3 on Sunday. NRW thus remains well below the nationwide values, which at 1087.2 on Tuesday are still above the 1000 mark.

26,606 people became infected in NRW within 24 hours, 56 people died according to Tuesday’s figures in connection with the pandemic.

In the NRW hospitals there is still sufficient treatment capacity for severe corona diseases. According to figures from the NRW state government on Monday, 174 Covid 19 patients were treated with ventilation in intensive care units, 440 intensive care beds with ventilation were still free.

The so-called hospitalization incidence rose slightly on Tuesday in NRW from 7.07 the day before to 7.43. The number indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants are treated in hospital within seven days in connection with Covid-19.

Within NRW, the corona incidences are particularly high in Münsterland. Coesfeld reported the NRW peak of 1840.9. There were also high numbers in Warendorf (1662.8), Steinfurt (1513) and Münster (1482). The Ruhr city of Duisburg brings up the rear in NRW with 573.1. North Rhine-Westphalia’s largest city, Cologne, recorded the fourth lowest value in NRW at 646.7.
