WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – United States of America recorded a spike in cases corona virus the highest for 24 hours on Friday (23/10/2020) to Saturday (24/10/2020).
According to the records of Johns Hopkins University, AS reported 88,793 new infections between 8:30 p.m. Friday evening and 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. This figure is higher than the previous day’s spike of 79,963.
A total of 8,568,625 cases have been reported in the US with 224,751 deaths, the highest in the world.

The worst impact hit the states in the north and midwest, then about 35 out of 50 states saw an increase in the number of cases.
Meanwhile the number of deaths per 24 hours has remained steady since the start of autumn, between 700-800. But on Saturday (24/10/2020) the US registered 906 deaths according to the Johns Hopkins report.

Yesterday former president Barack Obama criticized the White House’s policy on the pandemic, saying during a campaign in Florida that “the White House has done nothing but the reality is messed up so this is nonsense.”
Trump also underestimated the risk of the corona virus even though he had been diagnosed positive and recovered. According to him, business must be run again so that the country’s economy can recover.
