Iran has confirmed that there are about 6 thousand cases of coronavirus and 145 deaths on its soil, while the number of infections worldwide exceeded 100,000.
It is reported that a second Iranian deputy was among the deaths, while health officials fear that the number of cases may actually be much higher than the advertiser.
Italy, the most affected country in Europe, also recorded a sharp increase in the number of cases.
A prominent Italian politician, Nicolas Zingaretti, announced on Saturday that he had been confirmed with the virus.
“I’m fine, but I have to stay at home for the next few days,” said the leader of the center-left Democratic Party, in a post on Facebook.

The number of deaths in Italy exceeded 230, with officials reporting more than 50 deaths within 24 hours. As for the number of injuries, it jumped to 5 thousand and 883 injured.
In an effort to stem the spread of the disease, the authorities imposed a quarantine on Lombardy and 11 other regions in the north, isolating some 16 million people in those areas until April 3.
One of the procedures is to call retired doctors into service.

About 3,000 and 500 deaths from the Coruna virus were recorded worldwide. The majority of deaths were reported in China, where the virus began in December.
The director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanum Gypressus, described the spread of the virus as “very worrying” and urged all countries to consider containing the virus “a top priority”.

- The famous Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas has been canceled.
- Malta, Serbia, Slovakia, Peru and Togo have confirmed their first cases of coronavirus on their lands.

Iran has announced the death of 21 people due to infection with the Coronavirus last day.
More than 16,000 people are currently being tested in the country, said a spokesman for the Iranian Health Ministry, Kyanosh Jahanpur. Announcing the recovery of 1,669 people who were infected with the virus.
The representative of the World Health Organization in Iran, Dr. Christoph Hamelman, said that Iran is making tremendous progress in its hospitals, while providing health facilities providing treatment in every province.
