Hospitalization incidence at 6.75

The hospitalization incidence has fallen again in Hesse. On Sunday the value was 6.75 after 7.15 the day before, as announced by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The number indicates how many Covid 19 patients per 100,000 inhabitants were admitted to clinics within seven days. However, it only depicts the course of infection with a delay. A week earlier, the hospitalization incidence was 6.96.

According to data from the Ministry of Social Affairs, there were 229 people with Covid 19 disease in the intensive care units in Hesse on Saturday, 215 of whom had a corona infection and 14 were suspected. A week ago there were 231 intensive care patients. 54 percent of intensive care patients are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated.

Note: In the course of the omicron wave, there are more and more sick people in hospitals who are officially reported as Covid patients due to a positive test, but are actually being treated medically for another disease. The figures are therefore only of limited significance.
