In order to curb these supply bottlenecks as much as possible, the Chambers of Agriculture Vienna and Lower Austria done together and already responded. The online platform is intended to help workers Austria and network farmers.

“Despite the current situation, it is important that the agricultural work can be carried out in the usual way and that the food supply is ensured,” says Johannes Schmuckenschlager, President of the Chamber of Agriculture Lower Austria Werner Magoschitz, chairman of the asparagus farmers in Lower Austria, needs 220 harvest helpers per season in his company, currently he has just 60 harvest helpers.
