South Korea (South Korea) set another record for additional daily cases corona virus (COVID-19) is highest. The country is struggling with a surge in Corona cases triggered by the spread of the virus varian Delta which is very contagious.
As reported Reuters and Xinhua News Agency, Wednesday (21/7/2021), the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) reported 1,784 cases of Corona in those 24 hours.
This latest figure is recorded as the highest additional daily case in South Korea since the Corona pandemic broke out last year. This figure also shifts the previous record high recorded on July 14, when South Korea reported 1,614 cases of Corona in a day.
Of this number, 1,726 cases of which are local transmissions or Corona cases whose transmission occurs in the community.
With this spike, according to KDCA, the total number of Corona cases in South Korea has now reached 182,265.
This means that it has been 15 consecutive days that South Korea has recorded additional cases of Corona above 1,000 cases every day. The average daily caseload over the past week reached 1,479 cases.
KDCA in its report also reported one death a day, bringing a total of 2,060 deaths due to Corona now recorded in South Korea.
