Corona vaccine producer: anti-cancer vaccine before 2030

Biotech, a biotechnology company, expects to produce a cancer vaccine before 2030.

The company’s co-founder and CEO, Ugur Shaheen, told the German magazine “Der Spiegel”, on Sunday, that the company will start clinical trials in Britain this year.

Biontech was widely known globally and reaped billions of dollars in profits, after its partnership with the pharmaceutical company, “Pfizer”, to produce a vaccine against the Corona virus.

And Shaheen considered that the start of clinical trials “represents an important step towards its potential sale” within years.

He continued, “The company is currently deciding on the types of cancer it wants to test its anti-cancer immunotherapy drugs on, and the sites where the experiments will be conducted.”

The company seeks that these vaccines, which rely on “mRNA” technology, similar to its vaccines against the Corona virus, will soon become a regular treatment against cancer.

Does science succeed in the face of cancer?

“We believe that this (vaccine production) should be possible for a large number of patients before 2030,” Shaheen said, explaining that the technology for vaccine production has already come a long way.

He added, “In 2014, we needed a period of 3 to 6 months to create an individual cancer vaccine, and now we need a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Our goal is to get it in less than 4 weeks.”
