Biontech supplies most of the vaccine

In mid-April, Lower Saxony had spoken out against approving the vaccine. The Ministry of Health justified this with reference to too many people from priority groups 1 and 2 who could be vaccinated. The ministry had previously stated that AstraZeneca only made up about a quarter of the vaccines to be delivered to Lower Saxony in May and June. The largest part comes from Biontech.

Spahn: Doctors decide

Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) had the on Thursday De-prioritization for AstraZeneca announced. This should apply unless there is nothing against it from a medical perspective. “That means that when vaccinating in the doctor’s office, the doctors decide who is now to vaccinate and when,” said Spahn.
