Fewer now need to take a PCR test after a positive rapid test.
–
If you have received three doses of covid vaccine, or two doses and have been sick with corona once before, do not take a PCR test with a positive rapid test. This is the message in a joint press release from the municipalities of Time, Klepp, Hå and Gjesdal.
The new guidelines apply from Monday and are for the inhabitants of the four municipalities:
- Do not order a PCR test if you have a symptom or are in close contact, wait until you have a positive rapid test.
- Register a positive quick test digitally in your home municipality at hjemmetest.remin.no – see also the municipality’s website.
The main rule now is that you should only take a PCR test if you need this to get a corona certificate or if you have special needs for medical treatment.
– If you already have a valid corona certificate, you do not need to take a confirmatory PCR after a positive rapid test. The corona certificate is valid 180 days after undergoing covid-19, 270 days after the second vaccine dose and unlimited validity after the refresher dose, »says municipal chief physician in Time, Øystein Øgaard.
