Constitutional Minister Karoline Edtstadler (ÖVP) emphasizes that there can only be a compulsory vaccination if the vaccine is sufficiently effective. According to the current state of knowledge, this is also the case with the Omikron variant. If the vaccination does not take effect, however, the plan will have to be reconsidered, says Edtstadler. The minister is opposed to the content of the corona demos, but she upholds the right to demonstrate.
