Corona vaccination: From Monday dates for people over 60

The vaccination campaign in Lower Saxony continues. From Monday, everyone over the age of 60 can register for vaccination appointments.

People in this age group then have the option of calling the appointment hotline (0800) 99 88 665 or that Internet vaccination portal of the country put on the waiting list. You should only get the AstraZeneca vaccine. Lower Saxony’s Minister of Health Daniela Behrens (SPD) emphasized that the vaccine was extremely effective in protecting against corona infections and serious illnesses. In addition, the risk of serious side effects in this age group is negligible.

Earlier vaccination thanks to restriction for AstraZeneca

People over 60 actually only belong to priority group 3. But because AstraZeneca is only recommended for people over 60, the country is already opening the waiting list for this age group. On Monday, the federal government wants to discuss the progress of the vaccination campaign with the state leaders at a vaccination summit.
