Corona update – Ev. Gymnasium to the Gray Monastery

Dear school community,

At this point we want to provide regular information about the Corona situation at the Grauen Kloster. News are updated daily highlighted.

Please inform us immediately via the secretariat if you receive the result of a positive PCR test or rapid test.

From June 8th, as a result of the advice of the Hygiene Advisory Board and taking into account the current pandemic situation, new regulations will apply and only voluntary tests will take place at the school. The obligatory obligation to test without cause is suspended. Voluntary tests can be carried out at schools two days a week. If desired, a third additional test per week can be issued for a voluntary test at home on Sunday evening or on the Monday before the start of the lesson. The 3G rule for people from outside the school (e.g. parents) to participate in committee meetings, parent meetings, parent talks and other scheduled on-site visits as well as to participate in school events has been lifted.

All students will therefore receive a test on Friday 3rd June, which they should please test themselves at home on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning before coming to school on 8th June.

In addition, all pupils will receive a form that parents can sign and give their children to school from June 9th if they wish their child to continue to be tested regularly and in accordance with the guidelines of the Senate at school or additional tests tests for testing at home. Children who present this signed form can test themselves on the following dates, with a negative test at school being confirmed by the teaching teacher by signing the form:
10.6.22 (test on site)
14./15.6.22 (test at home)

Certification of test results

In the event of a positive self-test at school, pupils receive a certificate for parents and legal guardians to present to the employer with the confirmation of the positive result
rapid test result.

Pupils who live in the same household as a person who has tested positive (e.g. parents, siblings) or have otherwise had contact with infected people in their private lives are subject to the quarantine rules otherwise applicable in Berlin.

For the students who are in quarantine without being ill themselves, the respective subject teachers upload the worksheets or teaching materials to teams in the appropriate class or course team once a week. If necessary, the homework tutors in the classes are instructed by the subject teachers to pass on further information to the sick student.
