All Studio Brussel employees must be quarantined. There will be non-stop music for a large part of the day.

In recent days, the core team of radio station Studio Brussel was diagnosed with two corona infections. On Thursday, a first infection was already detected at a Studio Brussel employee. As a result, a number of employees have already been quarantined. But this afternoon a second infection was added.
As a precaution, all employees should be quarantined and tested. The radio will play non-stop music all week, with the exception of the rush programs by Michèle Cuvelier (6:00 am to 9:00 am) and Fien Germijns (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm). They will make solo radio at home. The two infected employees are doing well, the VRT says.
“It is insurmountable that this has consequences for the programming on the channel,” says Studio Brussel network head Jan Van Biesen. ‘The health of our people is of course paramount. Given the circumstances, we had no choice but to proceed to this collective quarantine. I know our listeners will understand this very well. We hope, as soon as this is allowed and possible, to resume all our normal broadcasts and offerings, because our entire team is extra motivated here at the start of the new radio season. ‘
