Corona rules in Saxony: test confusion in beer gardens and nursing homes | Regional

Dresden – Again and again botch with Saxony’s corona rules. Apparently the officials in the Ministry of Health no longer look through it themselves.

Paragraph 12 of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance requires: “If people from several households are sitting at one table in a restaurant in the outdoor area, they must present a daily test.”

To be on the safe side, the ministry explains the regulation again on the Internet under the heading “FAQ” (Frequently Asked Questions). There it says: The obligation to test in the beer garden only applies if “more than 2 household items are sitting at one table”.

Are two test-free households allowed in the beer garden? No! According to a ministry spokeswoman, the test is compulsory for “multiple households”. One wants to “check” the FAQ formulation.

Similarly confusing: In a press release, the ministry explains the rules for employees in old people’s and care facilities: “There is no testing for vaccinated and convalescent people”.

According to the regulation, the “testing should take place once a week”. What is now correct? From the ministry it is said that “what is in the press release applies.”
