The retail trade in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can reopen on Monday as long as the state incidence value is below 100. That is one of the results of the MV summit, which was announced on Saturday.
As Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) said, an appointment between business and customers is a prerequisite for visiting the retail trade. In Rostock and Western Pomerania-Rügen, where the incidence is below 50, shopping is possible without an appointment. But only the locals should come there to shop, Schwesig appealed. “If the retail trade is not yet open in my region, then I have to use the appointment shopping on site.” Driving to another district to go shopping is not allowed – but it cannot be checked across the board either. In addition, if individual loosening leads to a sharp increase in the number of infections in a region, all the alleviations that have already been made are automatically deleted.
Possible again: cosmetics, tattoo and massage
As long as the nationwide incidence is below 100, the state-wide openings also apply to the outdoor areas of zoos, bookstores, body-hugging services such as massage practices, cosmetic, nail, tanning and tattoo studios as well as driving schools. A medical mask must be worn in these areas. If this is not possible, customers have to submit a quick test or self-test after a transition period until March 15.
Cultural institutions open depending on the incidence
In accordance with the nationwide resolutions last Wednesday, museums, art galleries and libraries open for individual appointments in regions with an incidence between 50 and 100. According to the contact regulations, sport is possible for a maximum of five people from two households. In regions with an incidence of less than 50, appointments for the cultural institutions are no longer available and sport is again allowed for up to ten people.
Graduated emergency brakes
If the incidence values rise above certain limit values for three days, relaxations are withdrawn. If the nationwide incidence value is over 100, retail must close again nationwide. If the incidence value is above 150 in a district or in one of the two urban districts, then retail in the area must close. Bookstores, the outdoor areas of the zoos and the various body-hugging services must close in the circles in which the incidence rises above 150. The opening of museums, libraries and galleries, as well as outdoor sports, are each “set back” by one level if the incidence in their district or in urban districts exceeds 50 or 100.
Two households, five people
In addition, the contact restrictions are relaxed. As already decided on Wednesday at the Corona summit by the federal and state governments, up to five people from two households will be able to meet again in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from Monday. Children under the age of 14 are not counted, relationship partners count as one household. “Private contacts are still the most dangerous,” emphasized Schwesig. She therefore appealed to use self-tests and rapid tests more often in the private sphere as well. In the future, pharmacies and test centers will be able to offer everyone a free quick test per week. Before that happens, however, the federal government must first give the green light.
Land buys license for the Luca app
In order to be able to better track contacts in the event of a corona infection, has Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania acquired the license for the “Luca app”. Stores and other institutions use it to anonymously register who has visited it. This is intended to enable health authorities to quickly evaluate the contact chains. That relieves the authorities. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was the first federal state to acquire a state-wide license, said Prime Minister Schwesig. Rostock and Schwerin want to be the first cities to use the app. People who do not have a smartphone can identify themselves with a chip.
