Albeit with restrictions – for the first time a drug against Covid-19 can be approved in Europe: Remdesivir.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended that the drug be given conditional approval on Wednesday. The European Commission is likely to follow EMA’s recommendation next week.
According to studies, Remdesivir could primarily help to shorten the duration of the disease and to alleviate severe courses. However, it is not certain whether it can also lower the death rate.
With BILDplus you can read how the corona product works, what criticism there is and whether the drug is paid for by the health insurance companies.
