Corona proceedings still ongoing in the Neckar-Alb region

Almost a year and a half after the official end of the pandemic, the effects of Corona are still being felt. Several cases are still pending in the courts in the region.

There are no exact figures. “Criminal and fine proceedings related to the corona pandemic are not recorded statistically,” says a spokesman for the Tübingen Regional Court. But one thing is certain: the courts are still dealing with the aftermath of the pandemic. This is shown by a survey of the courts in the Neckar-Alb region.

Corona proceedings regarding fraud with test stations and Corona aid

In the district of the Tübingen Regional Court and the local district courts, for example, proceedings are still ongoing for possible fraud in connection with the operation of a Corona test station and with Corona aid granted.

Hechingen District Court: Trial for false mask certificates

The judges in the district of the Hechingen Regional Court (Zollernalb district) are also still dealing with Corona. According to the press spokeswoman, for example, a trial will begin in September at the Hechingen Regional Court over possibly wrongly issued mask certificates. In Sigmaringen, there are trials over violations of the Infection Protection Act and in Albstadt there is a case over an unauthorized demonstration.

Candlelight walks and fake vaccination certificates

According to the Hechingen court spokeswoman, there have been seven cases related to Corona at the Sigmaringen District Court alone in the last six months. The Balingen District Court recently concluded its last Corona case. It was about a so-called walk. The proceedings relating to these walks or torchlight runs have been completed, at least in the district of the Tübingen Regional Court, according to its spokeswoman. Cases involving fake vaccination certificates have also been as good as dealt with.
