As of today (February 1), galleries, museums and shopping centers are again allowed to open to the public in Poland. Nevertheless, this should not give the shopping tourism between Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Poland much impetus.
The Polish government is daring a first, cautious step out of the partial lockdown. Shops in shopping malls, museums and art galleries are open again. On the other hand, the lockdown for restaurants, hotels and sports facilities has been extended, and is initially valid until February 14th. Despite the easing, normal cross-border shopping tourism from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to the neighboring country is not yet possible again. Because the Corona state ordinance provides that theoretically, with a few exceptions, anyone who sets foot on Polish soil must immediately be quarantined.
Meanwhile, Poles living in MV who work in their home country are demanding free tests. more

Gastronomy remains largely closed
Restaurants, discos, nightclubs and ski lifts will remain closed in Poland until further notice. It says on the website of the Polish government. Pharmacies and petrol stations, for example, are excluded from this. They may only be entered with protective gloves and a mask. Distance learning for students from the 4th grade continues.
Further restricted train traffic to north-west Poland
Mouth and nose protection must also be worn outdoors all over Poland. Train traffic on the Lübeck-Bützow-Stettin route remains severely restricted. Most trains only go to Pasewalk or Löcknitz.
Resistance to lockdown is on the rise
In the meantime, opposition to the Lockdwon regulations in Poland is growing in the country. The Polish Fitness Association announced last week that 1,600 fitness studios want to reopen on February 1st – despite the lockdown regulations. At the weekend, the police also had to close night clubs in several cities that were open against all regulations.
