Corona outbreaks at Patyna locations: six clients of the Bloemkamp rehabilitation department in Bolsward died

There is a corona outbreak in the rehabilitation departments of the Bloemkamp residential care center in Bolsward and the Ielânen in Sneek.

In Bloemkamp, ​​care group Patyna has been struggling with an outbreak since January 22, six clients in the rehabilitation department have since died. Twelve clients and 24 employees have also been tested positive for the corona virus at the moment. The rehabilitation department is closed to visitors until further notice.

The same applies to the rehabilitation department of the Ielânen in Sneek, where there has been a corona outbreak since 26 January. Fourteen clients and nine employees have now become infected with the corona virus. One client died here.

The Pollen / Fjilden department is adjacent to the rehabilitation department, so this department has also been closed since Friday, January 29. All residents of this ward were tested preventively and the results were negative. A number of preventive tests will follow on Friday. If these are also negative, this department will reopen next Monday.

Other Patyna Locations

Previous residents were tested positive on the second floor of the Bonifatiushuis in Sneek. This floor will reopen to visitors on Saturday.

In the past two weeks, six residents in Martenahiem in Tzum have been tested positive, which is why the first floor is closed to visitors until further notice. Residents on the ground floor are allowed to receive visitors: this department is again corona-free. A total of more than 25 residents live in Martenahiem.

Four residents in Avondrust in Makkum were also tested positive in the past two weeks. The third floor is therefore closed to visitors. A total of more than 50 residents live in Avondrust.
