The operations of the Westvlees cutting department were transferred to other sister companies, but the rest of the company will continue to work for the time being. For the time being, only employees of the cutting department and the packaging department were tested. This will be expanded: from next week, the employees of the other departments will also be tested.
“The policy of the people being tested is done in consultation with the Agency for Care and Health,” says product manager Manuel Goderis. “We focused on the fireplace, where we tested 225 people.”
“Today we are going to test an additional 100 people. These are people who were absent due to leave, for example, but our perimeter is also expanding slightly. A number of individuals have also been designated in consultation with Zorg en Health who are also being tested additionally.”
