The health department reported more than 2,000 new corona cases in the state of Bremen on Tuesday – namely 2,292. This means that the number of new infections has exceeded 2,000 for the second day in a row. The city of Bremen accounts for 1,914 new infections. Last Tuesday there were 612 fewer. This increases the 7-day incidence again. It now stands at 1,530.4.
378 new cases were reported in Bremerhaven. This means that the value for new infections per 100,000 inhabitants will also increase there within seven days. Now, at 1,792.9, it is still higher than that of Bremen.
7-day incidence in Bremen and Bremerhaven
According to the health department, three more people died in Bremen. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the authority has counted a total of 635 deaths.
Hospitalization incidence in both cities over 18
Bremen and Bremerhaven are both in the highest warning level 4, which applies from a hospitalization incidence of 9. Bremen reported a hospitalization incidence of 18.89 on Tuesday. Bremerhaven gives the hospitalization incidence as 18.49.

According to the Bremen health department, 136 people with a corona infection are currently being treated in Bremen hospitals in the state. 14 of them are in intensive care units in Bremen, eleven have to be ventilated.
In Bremerhaven there are currently 37 people being treated with a corona infection in clinics, seven of whom are receiving intensive care and five need ventilation.
