The health authorities in the state of Bremen registered 172 new corona cases on Monday. Of these, 152 come from Bremen and 20 from Bremerhaven. A total of 91 new infections were reported for Sunday and 190 for Saturday. According to the health department, three other people died after a corona infection – two in Bremen, one in Bremerhaven. This increases the number of corona deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 808.
The seven-day incidences are falling noticeably in both cities compared to Friday. In Bremen, the value fell from 408 to 351. In Bremerhaven, the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants fell from 472 to 432 within seven days.
Seven-day incidence in Bremen and Bremerhaven
The incidence of hospitalization in Bremen is also declining. While it was still 4.06 on Friday, it fell gently to 3.71 on Monday. On Sunday, however, the number of hospital admissions per 100,000 inhabitants due to a corona infection was even 3.53 within a week. In Bremerhaven, the value has stagnated at 0.88 for the sixth day in a row.
99 people with a corona infection are currently being treated in the Bremen hospitals. Twelve of them are in intensive care units, three have to be ventilated. There are currently 27 corona patients in clinics in Bremerhaven. Two of them are in intensive care units, both are ventilated.
