The number of corona patients in Dutch hospitals has decreased slightly over the past 24 hours. Currently 2,546 people with Covid-19 occupy a hospital bed. That is a decrease of 76 patients compared to Wednesday. That day, the number of corona patients admitted had already fallen sharply compared to 24 hours earlier. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the number of people with corona in hospitals fell by 122.
On Thursday, 1923 of the admitted patients are in the nursing wards. That is a decrease of 73 from Wednesday. 205 new people with Covid-19 were admitted, but as more patients left the wards, the total number of occupied beds fell. In intensive care units are 623 seriously ill people with Covid-19, the disease caused by the corona virus.
That is a decrease of three patients compared to 24 hours ago. 34 new corona patients were admitted to the ICs, but because more people were allowed to leave the wards or died, the total occupancy fell just as well.
