Smaller charities have received less money in the past year during the corona crisis. They saw revenues fall by an average of 13.4 percent compared to 2019. The big charities were slightly less bad, losing only 0.3 percent of their revenues.

This is a conclusion of a study by Radboud University and the regulator of charities, the CBF. “The number of one-off gifts from private individuals has fallen, but events and fundraising campaigns such as schools that organize a run could not take place”, Harmienke Kloeze, director at the CBF told NOS Radio 1 Journaal.
