Corona-News: Incidence continues to rise slightly


District of Sonneberg | No decision on model region yet


The district of Sonneberg has to meet strict requirements for the shopping model project. As a spokesman for the District Office MDR THÜRINGEN said, the Thuringian Ministry of Health has sent a list with a total of eleven claims. Accordingly, among other things, the seven-day incidence must be below 100 for at least one week. In addition, digital contact tracking must be guaranteed. The model project is also limited to a maximum of five days. Only when all the requirements can be met will the district want to apply again, the spokesman said.

Northern Thuringia | Test centers in Bad Frankenhausen and Heiligenstadt

In Bad Frankenhausen in the Kyffhäuserkreis and Heiligenstadt in Eichsfeld, the first centers for corona rapid tests will open from Monday. In Bad Frankenhausen, the rapid tests are offered at the smear site on Klosterstrasse. They are open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In Heiligenstadt, the rapid tests are offered to the right of Schwanen-Apotheke Wilhelmstrasse 38. A registration is not necessary.

District of Sömmerda | Test stations go into operation

Corona rapid test stations will start in nine locations in the Sömmerda district on Monday. As the district office announced, the DRK district association and the ASB district association offer rapid tests in Sömmerda, Buttstädt, Gebesee, Kölleda and Schlossvippach, among others. Test stations will also start operating on Monday in Kindelbrück, Rastenberg, Straussfurt and Weißensee. The tests are free for citizens.

In Schlossvippach, the “Haus zur Sonne” was converted into a test station, where senior citizens’ get-togethers took place before Corona. From now on, tests are to take place here on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. According to Mayor Uwe Köhler, 35 to 40 tests per hour are planned. Köhler hopes that as many people as possible will use the free test option.

Weimar | Open test centers

The city of Weimar opens a corona test center on Monday afternoon. In a former supermarket in the north of Weimar, residents will be able to get tested for Covid-19 free of charge on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., it was said. Citizens will also be tested for Corona in the checkout tower from Monday. In the course of the coming days, further test centers are to open, including in the multi-generation house in Weimar-West, the bee museum in Oberweimar, in the DRK office in Humboldtstrasse and the Kaufstrasse in Weimar’s city center.

Thuringia | Current corona regulation
