Gera | Schools expected to be closed from March 24th
The schools in the city of Gera are expected to close again on March 24th. The city administration announced on Thursday evening. The reason is the increased seven-day incidence. It was 197 on Thursday. It is to be expected that it will soon rise well over 200.

As Mayor Julian Vonarb MDR THÜRINGEN said on Thursday evening, the state’s ordinance forced the city to react to the incidence figures and adjust the lessons. The city is expected to instruct homeschooling for the three days leading up to the Easter break. But there will be emergency care for children in grades one to six.

In principle, the Ministry of Health and Education expanded the scope for the districts on March 12th, 2021. Since then it has been recommended to close schools and kindergartens with an incidence of 150. In close coordination with the state, the districts can also decide differently. Additional hygiene requirements are a prerequisite.

Gotha | Schools and daycare centers are expected to close from Monday
In the Gotha district, schools and kindergartens are to close again from Monday. As the district office announced, this is in the new general decree. The country still has to agree to this. The reason is the increasing dynamics in the infection process, it said. Support centers and vocational schools as well as the final year should be able to stay in classroom teaching.

Home schooling could not be a permanent solution, said District Administrator Peggy Greiser. At some point it must come to an end that working parents are permanently burdened. She announced a rapid test concept. This is intended to protect students, teachers and educators. The district has provided special rapid tests suitable for children, according to Greiser. Eisenach | Schools and kindergartens are closing again
Schools and kindergartens in the city of Eisenach and in the Wartburg district will be closed again. This will apply from next Monday, as District Administrator Reinhard Krebs announced on Thursday afternoon. The district administrator literally said: “My heart is bleeding, but at the moment we have no other choice.” The infection process in the entire district and in the city of Eisenach developed rapidly over the course of the week, said Krebs.
