The number of patients with corona in Dutch hospitals has increased further in the past 24 hours. On Sunday, a total of 1,774 people with a corona infection were in a Dutch hospital, according to figures from the National Coordination Center for Patients Spreading (LCPS).
That is 92 more than a day earlier. The last time so many people with corona were in hospital were at the end of last year. On December 31, there were 1,766 patients, compared to 1,857 the day before. There were 152 corona patients in intensive care on Sunday, two fewer than on Saturday.
1622 patients with corona are being cared for in the nursing wards, 94 more than a day earlier. Twelve new corona patients were admitted to the ICUs, 199 to the nursing wards. A day earlier, there were 9 and 257 respectively.
