The number of new admissions of corona patients to the nursing wards has fluctuated in recent days. While 146 new people with the coronavirus were admitted to Dutch hospitals between Monday and Tuesday, there were 94 in the last 24 hours. The total number of corona patients occupying a hospital bed is also decreasing and increasing, as can be concluded from the most recent figures from the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution.

On Wednesday there were still 1,432 people with the corona virus in Dutch hospitals, 56 fewer than 24 hours ago. From Monday to Tuesday, the number of corona patients in hospitals also decreased, but the day before there was an increase.
Care employees of the nursing departments are currently treating 1057 corona patients, 45 less than 24 hours ago. This means that more corona patients were allowed to leave a nursing ward than the 94 who were newly admitted. On average, 119 new corona patients per day were admitted to a nursing ward in recent days.
375 seriously ill corona patients are currently being nursed in intensive care units. That is eleven people less than Tuesday. Last 24 hours, eleven new people with the corona virus were admitted to an IC ward, but because more people died or were allowed to leave the wards, the number of IC beds occupied by corona patients fell.
