The number of corona patients in Dutch hospitals fell for the third day in a row on Thursday to less than 1,900. In total there are now 1,857 patients with Covid-19, the lowest number since November 13.
That is 108 fewer than Wednesday, according to the most recent figures from the National Coordination Center for Patients Distribution (LCPS). Before Christmas, more than 2000 corona patients were in hospitals for quite some time.
There are currently 492 people in intensive care with corona, 23 less than a day earlier. The last time fewer than 500 corona patients were in ICUs was November 23. There are still 1365 people in the nursing wards with the lung disease, 85 less than on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, 19 new patients with corona have been admitted to the ICUs. 137 new Covid patients were brought into the nursing wards.
