Four suspected cases of mutated corona viruses in the Dithmarschen district have been confirmed. According to the district, the national consulting laboratory for coronaviruses at the Charité in Berlin has confirmed that it is a virus mutation with the characteristics of the British variant. All four of those affected come from one household and have been in quarantine together since the first corona infection became known last week. According to the district, the possible cause of the infection is not known. There are currently no signs of an increase in infections in the vicinity of the household concerned.
30 suspected cases in Flensburg
On Saturday, the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district announced that, according to information from Berlin, a coronavirus sample was very likely part of a virus line that was first discovered in Great Britain. In the past few days, almost 30 suspected cases of mutated corona viruses had become known in Flensburg. The laboratory results were sent to the Charité for confirmation and determination of the exact mutations. A result was not yet available on Thursday.
