A number of recipients the Covid-19 vaccine artificial Modern called causing a reaction allergy with high intensity severity in some people to need hospital treatment.
This was reported by the California Department of Health, United States which found what was suspected of being a reaction to the Covid-19 vaccine. Now the vaccine recipient patient is being treated at a San Diego medical center.
The response comes after a California epidemiologist issued a recommendation to stop vaccination from lot number 41L20A due to a possible allergic reaction being investigated.
“The total likelihood (of patients) experiencing high-intensity allergy symptoms reported comes from a certain Moderna vaccine given at a community vaccination clinic,” said the epidemiologist as quoted by Reuters (19/1).
Until now, Moderna said that 307,300 doses of vaccine from the lot were still being stored. Meanwhile, approximately 1.2 million doses are still in the production process.
Moderna said that it is currently examining this case with US health regulators. They also postponed the use of vaccines in the problematic lot.
To date, nearly one million doses have been distributed to approximately 1,700 vaccination points from 37 states in the United States.
Launch ABC7NewsUntil now, there are five regions that have temporarily stopped vaccine distribution due to the discovery of severe allergies in recipients. These areas are San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, Santa Clara and Contra Costa.
The Moderna vaccine arrived in California on January 5 and 12, and more than 330 doses have been distributed to 287 vaccine distributors across the region.
