Three employees and a patient in the MCL’s obstetrics-gynecology department tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend.
The hospital has therefore tightened the rules. For example, employees of this department must have themselves tested before the start of their shift. Also, only partners of the patients are allowed to visit and during contacts with employees, patients and their partners must wear a medical mouth mask.
The four newly opened ‘neo suites’, rooms for babies requiring special care, are temporarily closed. With these measures and extensive source and contact research, the hospital expects to keep the number of infections under control.
