As temperatures drop, new coronavirus infections will rise again this fall. The Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) reported a total of 35,579 new cases of Covid in the past week on Tuesday. The 7-day average was 4922 new infections. This corresponds to a significant increase of 45 percent over the previous week. With the current trend, the 7-day average of new infections would double approximately every 13 days. The incidence at 14 days also increased significantly. There are currently 566 infections.
