10 day quarantine for close contacts
The municipality further informs that they also introduce local decisions on the basis of the infection situation in Kristiansund with increasing infection and pressure on the health service.
Municipal chief physician Askill Sandvik has introduced the following decision in accordance with the Infection Control Act §4.2. The decision below applies to the Delta variant. In case of suspicion of Omikron, national regulations apply:
1. Duration of isolation is 7 days for persons who have detected SARS-CoV-2. Applies to fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated at all ages.
2. Household members and similar relatives (eg girlfriend) of a person with proven SARS-CoV-2 must be quarantined for 10 days from the test date in the proven case. The quarantine presupposes that there has been close contact. The quarantine applies to both fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated at all ages. Can test out of the quarantine on day 7 day with PCR test.
- The employer can grant exemptions for persons on DSB’s list of socially critical personnel.
- Household members and similar relatives should be tested at least twice during the quarantine period with PCR at the municipality’s test station. The last test should be no earlier than day 7 of the quarantine.
- Other close contacts (not household members) should be tested twice in 7 days. You can go to work or school, but exercise caution. Should not participate in organized leisure activities or events.
- The rules for other close contacts apply if there is an infection in school classes or groups.
