The state government updated the Lower Saxony Corona Ordinance at an early stage. From Monday, significant easing for incidences below 10 will come into effect – the so-called level zero.
A change is already in place: In all districts and urban districts with a constant incidence below 35, ten people from up to ten households are allowed to meet “this weekend”, as government spokeswoman Anke Pörksen announced on Friday. In addition, fully vaccinated, convalescent and children under 14 years of age can take part in a meeting without being counted.
Rules for stable incidents below 10:
- Are indoors private meetings allowed with up to 25 people, in the open air with up to 50 people. This does not include children of these people up to and including the age of 14, people who have been completely vaccinated and recovered, as well as accompanying persons and caregivers of people with a significant disability or need for care.
- Meetings and celebrations with more than 25 people in closed rooms or more than 50 people in the open air are possible if the person responsible for the celebration ensures that all participants can demonstrate a negative test, are fully vaccinated or have recovered. Children up to and including 14 years of age do not need to be tested.
- At Meetings, gatherings and events The distance requirement and mask requirement do not apply if no more than 25 people are involved inside and no more than 50 people take part outdoors. For larger meetings, the requirement to keep one’s distance and inside also the mask requirement applies, as long as no seat has been taken. The hygiene rules do not apply if all participants have tested negative, have been completely vaccinated or have recovered. The organizer must record the data in order to be able to follow up contacts.
- City tours and guided tours through nature and landscapes are permitted without restriction. Neither a distance nor a mask are required.
- Tourist boat, carriage, bus and cable car rides need a hygiene concept. A mask is required at the seat; if the minimum distance is observed, it does not apply.
