Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The number of new infections with the corona virus within seven days in Baden-Württemberg continues to increase. On Saturday it was 29.3 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, as the State Health Office in Stuttgart announced (as of 4:00 p.m.). The previous day the value was 25.5.
The districts of Mannheim (56.7), Pforzheim (40.5) and Baden-Baden (38.1), the Main-Tauber district (40.0), the districts of Lörrach (38, 9) and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald (36.4) as well as the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis (36.8). There are 44 urban and rural districts in the southwest.
The number of confirmed corona infections in Baden-Württemberg since the beginning of the pandemic rose by 737 to 511,263, and that of the dead by one to 10,436. Most recently, 54 Covid 19 patients were in intensive care treatment, 25 of whom were invasively ventilated.
2002 intensive care beds of operable 2368 beds (84.5 percent) were occupied according to figures from Friday. This value is important in order to be able to assess the utilization of the health system. Such beds are not only needed for Covid 19 patients with severe courses, but also for people with other diseases.
