Magdeburg/dpa – The corona incidence in Saxony-Anhalt has dropped significantly. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the number of registered new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday as 770.7. 808.7 and 907.1 were recorded on Saturday and Friday. Nationwide, the value fell to 834.3.
Within 24 hours, 492 newly reported infections were added in Saxony-Anhalt; on Saturday there were 1045. In addition, three other deaths were registered. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5149 people have died in connection with the corona virus.
According to the RKI, when interpreting the current number of cases, it should be noted that due to the public holidays and vacations and the associated lower testing, reporting and transmission activity, there may be short-term underreporting of cases in the reporting system.
