The trend continues: The Berlin corona incidence has been falling for a few days. The reading was 415.4 on Tuesday.
A week ago, the incidence in Berlin was around 494. According to the Berlin Senate’s management report, 3,866 new infections and three more deaths were reported on Tuesday. Accordingly, the total number of reported corona infections since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 1,171,811. The hospitalization rate remained high at 14.5. The proportion of Covid 19 patients in intensive care units rose from 5.9 percent to 6.6 percent within a week.

Experts suspect a high number of unrecorded cases
However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation. Experts continue to assume that there will be a high number of cases not recorded by the RKI – mainly because not all infected people have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.
