From tomorrow, mobile vaccination teams will be available at universities and colleges in the country to offer students a corona vaccination. The active ingredients from Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are inoculated.
Starting tomorrow, students in Schleswig-Holstein can be vaccinated directly at the universities and colleges in the state – without an appointment. For this purpose, mobile vaccination teams will be on campus for a total of eight days over the next two weeks. Science Minister Karin Prien (CDU) advocated accepting this vaccination offer: “I am very happy that, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the German Red Cross and the Johanniter Accident Aid, we were able to offer this offer to the students and to them at short notice To give a campus-related option to get vaccinated. That is a further step towards the normalization of study operations, which we all want. “
Vaccinations for over 3,000 students
In the period from July 6th to 13th, 21 deployments of mobile teams are planned at the state’s public and private universities. The teams are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. – the universities will announce the exact times. Around 150 vaccinations can be carried out per mission, so that up to 3,150 students can receive one vaccination. The vaccines Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are inoculated. It is not necessary to make an appointment.
Vaccination offer applies to all students in the cities
The universities and colleges organize themselves together for the vaccination offer. This means that basically all students in Kiel can be vaccinated on the university campus or on the university campus on the east bank. The same is done in Lübeck and Flensburg. Vaccination is also carried out in Heide, Wedel and Elmshorn. In order to reach as many students as possible, the vaccination teams also work on weekends. If Moderna has been vaccinated, the second vaccination will take place exactly five weeks later. Interested parties can obtain more information on further organization from their universities.
