In Schleswig-Holstein, 185 new corona cases were reported within 24 hours. The seven-day incidence in SH is 28.0 (data as of October 5). The day before it was 28.9.
The number of people in Schleswig-Holstein who has been proven to have been infected with the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic is now 76,869. According to an estimate by the RKI, around 73,500 Schleswig-Holsteiners are considered recovered. According to the current State registration office statistics No new death was reported in connection with the viral disease Covid-19. However, one death report was corrected in the Ostholstein district so that the total number is 1,689 (-1 on the previous day).

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) usually updates its data in the morning, but sometimes not until the afternoon – the national figures are usually published the evening before. Pinneberg with the highest incidence
Pinneberg has the highest seven-day incidence with 52.7 (previous day: 50.1), followed by Neumünster with 52.6 (previous day: 56.3) and Stormarn with 51.0 (previous day: 50.6). The lowest values are in the districts of Nordfriesland with 6.6 (previous day: 4.2) and Ostholstein with 12.4 (previous day: 12.9).

What these numbers say – and what not
The state government’s statistics show how many confirmed corona infections are known to the authorities in the country and have been reported in the intended way. What the statistics cannot clearly show, let alone the current day, is the speed at which the virus is spreading. Because the number of people who have newly tested positive usually also includes post-reported cases from several days. There are delays in the reporting chain, especially around weekends and public holidays.
