The current incidence value for Nuremberg is on Friday at 91.1 and thus again below the 100 mark. On Wednesday, for the first time in a long time, the threshold of 100 was undercut for at least one day, the value was 97.4. In the past seven days, according to RKI data, there was in Nuremberg 472 proven New infections. Since the beginning of the pandemic there has been evidence 33.464 (+74) people infected with the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus. 936 (+10) died of or with the virus (Source: RKI, Stand: 21.5.2021).
Since the incidence value has been below 150 for some time, the city eased on Wednesday. This mainly affects primary schools and retailers. Read here what applies now in Nuremberg.

Overview: Which corona rules apply where in Bavaria?
This applies to students from Nuremberg
Since May 3, the development of the incidence value has been used in Bavaria to decide on school lessons. If the value is above 165, only final classes, the 11th and 4th class are allowed to receive face-to-face lessons at a distance, if there is not enough space, then alternating lessons. If the value is between 100 and 165, all elementary school students are also allowed to attend school. Only when the incidence value falls below 100 for five days in a row is relaxed and all students are allowed to go back to class.
After the Whitsun holidays, all students with values below 165 are allowed to attend classroom or alternate classes.
Federal emergency brake: These regulations apply from an incidence of 100
The government wants to break the third corona wave with uniform regulations, a corresponding change to the Infection Protection Act has been decided by the Bundestag. With us you can find out which regulations have been in effect nationwide since April 24th with a 7-day incidence of 100 or more.

In the classrooms concerned, only pupils who have a current negative PCR or POC antigen test or who have carried out a corresponding self-test with negative results in school under supervision are allowed to take part in the classroom lessons.
These additional rules apply in Nuremberg
The federal emergency brake has been in effect in Bavaria since Saturday, April 24th. This leads to some aggravations in all counties where the incidence is over 100. Since Monday, May 10, it has been possible to relax further in all counties that are stable below an incidence of 100. You can find the exact regulations here.
In addition, since January 18, there has been an obligation in Bavaria to wear an FFP2 mask in public transport and when shopping. Specific to Nuremberg are the public places where a mask is required to be worn. This zone was downsized on March 9th. It is also only valid Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (instead of 6:30 a.m.). A list of all streets and squares can be found here.
