In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 251 new corona infections since Monday. 17 Covid-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units nationwide. The hospitalization incidence is 3.9.
The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has increased by 251 cases since Tuesday (as of Wednesday, 3:46 p.m.). The State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) reported this in its report. This only records PCR-positive cases. Citizen and quick tests do not appear in the statistics. According to LAGuS, the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has been 2,734 (+0). The hospitalization incidence remains at 3.9. This value also records the corona cases that are in inpatient treatment due to other diseases.
Vaccination events in MV
According to LAGuS, 3,574,545 doses of vaccine have been administered so far (as of Monday, January 23) in the north-east. Accordingly, 1,218,747 people were vaccinated at least once and are therefore partially immunized (vaccination rate 75.6 percent). 1,204,1789 people (vaccination rate 74.7 percent) are basic immunized, i.e. twice vaccinated or recovered and vaccinated. 970,030 people have received a booster vaccination (vaccination rate 60.2 percent), 212,184 people have already received the second booster vaccination (vaccination rate 13.2 percent). 10,846 people have had their vaccination boosted at least three times (vaccination rate 0.67 percent). Most new infections in the Northwest Mecklenburg district
The seven-day incidence of new infections nationwide is 77.1 (+1.7). Northwest Mecklenburg has the highest incidence with 146.4, the lowest in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim with 57.6. Northwest Mecklenburg reports the most newly infected people with 47 new cases. This is followed by the Mecklenburg Lake District, the districts of Rostock and Western Pomerania-Greifswald (38 each), the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim (29), Western Pomerania-Rügen (24), Schwerin (21) and the city of Rostock (16).
New infections in children and adolescents
LAGuS publishes a status report on the corona situation among children and young people, which is broken down by age group. According to the report released on Monday (January 23), there are 30 new infections among 0-5 year olds nationwide, the seven-day incidence of new infections in this group is 35. In the 6-11 year olds group there are 80 new infections, the incidence is 94. The group of 12 to 17 year olds has 45 new infections and an incidence of 54.
On Monday, January 23, LAGuS reported 13 active cases of infection (-12) from the geriatric care facilities. 136 residents (-112) and 69 employees (-19) were affected. These numbers are reported once a week by LAGuS.
