The number of registered new corona infections has increased by 13 cases in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since Thursday (as of Friday 4:19 p.m.). That’s nine fewer infections than a week ago. Overall, the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) 44,055 infections reported in the country since March 2020. According to an estimate by the Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI) In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 42,562 (+37) of the people who tested positive have recovered from Covid 19 disease. The number of deaths in the northeast is 1,145 (+4). According to the LAGuS, as of Friday, 1,195,342 vaccine doses have been administered in the northeast. According to this, 785,489 people were vaccinated at least once (vaccination rate 48.8 percent). 429,517 people are fully vaccinated (vaccination rate 26.7 percent).

In the Mecklenburg Lake District the seven-day incidence value is 10.5, in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district 8.5, in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district 8.1 and in the northwest Mecklenburg district 3.8. The district of Vorpommern-Rügen has an incidence of 1.8. The city of Rostock reports a value of 2.9 and the district of Rostock of 1.9. In Schwerin the incidence is 1.0.
44 People with Covid-19 in the hospital
According to the latest figures from the LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 44 (-4) people across the country are currently being treated for Covid 19 in a hospital, 18 (-1) of them are in an intensive care unit. According to the intensive care register, 14 (+3) Covid-19 patients are ventilated invasively. The register shows 521 occupied and 80 free intensive care beds for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Friday 2:19 p.m.).

Five new infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district
According to the LAGuS, most of the infected were or are in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald, with 10,007 (+ -0) infections so far. In the Mecklenburg Lake District there are a total of 8,739 (+4) cases. So far there have been 7,255 (+5) infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. 4,504 (+2) infections were reported in the Rostock district. The LAGuS reports 3,875 (+ -0) cases for the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg, the authorities registered 3,856 (+2) people who were verifiably infected with the corona virus. The lowest total numbers continue to be found in the Hanseatic city of Rostock with 3,130 (+ -0) and the state capital Schwerin with 2,689 (+ -0) cases.

Few active infection events in schools and daycare centers
The LAGuS also publishes figures on the situation in old people’s homes as well as in schools and daycare centers on weekdays. Accordingly, as of Friday, there are active infection events at two daycare centers (+1). One child (+ -0) and one educator or employee (+1) are affected. In addition, there are active infection events in two schools (-1). 2 students (-1) and no teacher or employee (+/- 0) are affected.
